Pricing units are created for your products based on the invoices that you have uploaded to FoodRazor. They are the default unit in FoodRazor, and are found in your My Product and Invoice pages, Dashboard, and Reports.
For example, if you upload an invoice that has the details:
Apple – $10/KG
The pricing unit for apples displayed in FoodRazor will be in KG.
Ordering units are used for ordering purposes only. They can only be seen when you're creating a new order, or when you are viewing past Purchase Orders created.
For example, while your supplier might charge you $10/KG for apples, you might want to place your order in PIECES instead of KG.
You can customise your ordering units for any product in your account, and create orders reflecting this unit—for example, you can order apples at $0.20/PIECE (suppose 1 KG = 50 pieces of apples).
Inventory units help you to count your stock in units that make sense to you. They are applicable to the Stocktake page only.
For example, your supplier may have charged you in CARTONS for iced lemon tea, but you may find it more comfortable to count your lemon teas in CANS.
You can customise inventory units for your products in your Stocktake page, so that when you are recording the quantities of your lemon teas, you can enter them in CANS instead of CARTONS.
