Assigning product categories to your products gives you a bird's eye view of your spending when you're viewing your dashboard, generating reports, or counting your inventory on FoodRazor. You can create custom product categories to capture spending information that makes most sense to your organisation's budgeting, or purchase-tracking process.
Create new product categories
1. In the left navigation menu, go to My Product.
2. Under Product Category, type a new category you would like to assign to a product.
3. Click anywhere on the screen to save.
Here's a video example:
Assign product categories to other products
You can assign product categories to your products the same way you create new product categories. Under Product Category, type the category you would like to assign your product to.
Assign product categories to your products based on suppliers
Assign product categories more efficiently with Mass Tags. Mass Tags allow you to assign all products purchased from a specific supplier with a product category quickly. Here's how:
1. In your My Product, click on Mass Tags.
2. In the pop-up window, type a product category you want to assign a supplier's products to. Here's a video example:
In this example, the product category, WINE has been assigned to the supplier, Delicious Wine Pte Ltd. This means that all 4 products from Delicious Wine Pte Ltd are assigned with the category WINE, and any new product added to Delicious Wine Pte Ltd will be automatically assigned with WINE as a category.
💡 Tip: If you would like to assign more than 1 category to your supplier, you can assign your supplier with a main category (i.e. most products correspond to this category), then return to your My Product page to re-assign non-applicable products to another category.
